Hello ladies, you are all invited to follow me along with my lifes adventures, my love of so many different things, and my stuff, my crazy-quilting adventures. I want you all to be a part of my life as you have allowed me to be a part of yours. Who says friends have to live next door? I want to thank Cathy K. in Utah for helping me set up my blog, she"s a sweetie.
I am dedicating my blog to my mother. After all without her and her teachings I would not be the person I am today. My mother spent the last 12 years in a state of confusion with Alzeheimers disease, although she always knew who I was. She passed away on Christmas Eve 2009. She was such a special lady that God chose a special day for her to be with Him. I miss her very much, but I know she is now at peace and no longer has Alzeheimers...
On to crazy-quilting, I have been working on a few things BUT my camera is in the shop so as soon as I can post pictures I certainly will, (hopefully next week). Until then please let me know what you think of my new blog! Thanks, Debbie
Well - Debbie, of course I LOVE your blog - and you!! Hugs, Cathy

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing pictures of your beautiful Mother... What a treasure she was, and is. Your blog is beautiful! I'm hoping you will share the new beginnings for your son and daughter in law so we can keep track of them, too.

Deb, I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. I have often thought of starting a blog to share my thoughts about so many wonderful connections I have made with special people in my life and share some of the wonderful experiences I have shared with them. Unfortunately I don't have a computer friendly friend like your friend Cathy. Of course I am thrilled to see that you devoted your blog to your mother. She was a very special person in my life and I sometimes feel very guilty that I never went to visit her when I came back from Germany. My only excuse was that I was selfish and wanted to remember her as she had been before. I have many wonderful memories and think often of her when my children use the quilts she made each of them. I still have one she made when I was a baby. It holds a place of honor on my quilt rack, she will always hold a place of honor in my heart. Love your cousin, Peggy
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Debbie! Your blog is beautiful. I had the opportunity to meet Cathy a few years ago when she visited New Jersey on a business trip, and she is a doll! Thanks for the opportunity to win such beautiful treasures.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards,
Marilyn
Just found your blog while searching for info on velvet stamping. Lovely! Hope your new year is filled with peace, joy and precious memories of your mother. Blessings, Rita in Fla.
